This film follows Captain Colter Stevens, a military helicopter pilot. After being fatally wounded in a mission, he wakes up in an unknown body on a train bound for Chicago, just before an explosion that will kill all the passengers.
Colter discovers that he is involved in a government program called “Source Code”, which allows him to relive the last eight minutes before the disaster. His mission is to find the person responsible for the attack and prevent further attacks. At each iteration, he questions the passengers and tries to understand the events leading up to the explosion.
